Ryerson is committed to helping build better communities in the places where it operates.
We invest in the community and our people in a variety of ways, from volunteerism to providing educational resources to help our employees and families advance their careers.
Service & Giving
Ryerson supports charitable organizations, including those that promote social justice and equality, good health, children's causes, educational advancement and community programs.
In addition to company-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives, Ryerson partners with organizations such as The Link MN in Minneapolis. Over the years, other charities we have supported include:

Community Service Projects
As a part of the Ryerson internship program, interns across the company develop and implement a community service project. The integration of community service into the internship program began in 2014. Past projects focused on a waste reduction, raising money to benefit charities, feeding the homeless, and elementary education.
Volunteering
Ryerson employees give back to the communities they call home, and they are given the opportunity to volunteer their time through the Ryerson Gives Back program. From working in food kitchens to participating in community events and trainings, employees are actively involved in our efforts to build community and promote diversity and engagement in the areas in which we live and work.
College Scholarship Program
For nearly 100 years, Ryerson has supported the continuing education of employees and their families through a college scholarship program. As part of this program, Ryerson awards up to approximately $90,000 per year in academic scholarships to students graduating from high school that are children or dependents of Ryerson employees and retirees.
